Seminar of Regional Integrated Centre Penza Region on the topic: "Protection of intellectual property as a necessary condition for competitive advantages in foreign economic activities in the European Union".

Regional Integrated Centre Penza Region, created on the basis of the Penza Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry is carrying on the project on promoting the products of Penza manufacturers on regional and international markets. Coordinator of RIC from the government of the Penza region is the regional Ministry of economy.

At 10 Nov 2016 in the business incubator in Nikolsk, Penza region held a seminar on the development of foreign trade in the framework of Integrated Regional centre of the Penza Region. The theme of the seminar was "Protection of intellectual property as a necessary condition for competitive advantages in foreign economic activities in the European Union".

The event was attended by about twenty representatives of small and medium enterprises, interested in finding business partners outside of the Penza region.

The seminar was organized by RIC-Penza supported by the administration of Nikolsk.

The seminar was opened by the head of the Regional Integrated Centre Penza Region Vladimir Parshin.

Linina Lyudmila, head of the Administration of Nikolsk subregion, made a welcoming speech to the audience, thanked the leadership of the CCI of Penza region for long-term cooperation and wished the participants of the seminar will get important useful information that will contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in the area.

Presentation of the Regional Integrated Centre - Penza Region was made by Veronika Sidorova, expert consultant RIC-Penza Region. She noted that using the database network of the RIC experts provide free services to find potential business partners for interested companies. In particular, this information exchange offer, requests and business information, assistance in organizing negotiations with potential partners, assistance in business missions, exhibitions, seminars, conferences and other events. The Center staff will advise on the EU programs for support of small and medium business, legislation, quality standards and other requirements for goods and services, and will also help in conducting business correspondence in English to establish initial contact with a potential partner. She also spoke in detail about the benefits of RIC as a mechanism to support small and medium-sized businesses.

Tatiana Rassypnova, head of the legal Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Penza region, presented to the audience information about the registration of trademarks and protection of intellectual property. She gave practical examples of legal protection of intellectual property of enterprises in Russia and abroad, about the ways of alienation of rights to objects of intellectual property.

Thus, the seminar addressed a range of significant issues for the participants of foreign economic activity, including participation in the electronic auctions.

All representatives of small and medium business Nikolsk subregion received certificates from the RIC-Penza region, confirming participation in the workshop.
